There has been a Shorinji Kempo club in Bristol since 1997 when Sensei Mike and Sensei Dav started the University of Bristol Dojo. Due to the success of that and the number of non-students wanting to train they went on to found the Bristol City Shorinji Kempo Dojo in 2007.
